In addition to the Common Admission Requirements for all C-N graduate programs, applicants to the Master of Education (M.Ed.) with Job-embedded Practitioner Licensure must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for admission to the program:
- A bachelor’s degree from a four-year, regionally accredited college or university
- A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 overall
- Having a bachelor’s degree in the discipline in which the individual is going to be hired to teach (for example, math); or having passing scores on the appropriate state-mandated subject matter exams(s) within five years
- A copy of a Letter of Intent to hire from a Principal, Assistant Principal or school district office administrator
Other factors that may be considered in the admission decision are:
- A demonstrated record of achievement;
- Breadth and depth of work experience;
- Leadership—demonstrated and/or potential;
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills;
- Extracurricular and community involvement
- Current licensure(s)
